Ready? … Set? … GROW !
We have raised about $1.4M of our $2.1M goal
to build a new schoolhouse in the Corolla Village!

Won’t you help us build a second academic building?

FAQs Answered about our Campaign

- The Corolla Education Foundation is a non-profit whose only function is to operate the Water’s Edge Village School (known as WEVS). Our EIN is 27-5002997

- The school currently has 43 students in grades K-8.

- We have donations, pledges and money allocated from Corolla Education Foundation totaling just over $1.4 million of the anticipated $2.1 Million cost to build the school.

- Thanks to a very generous donation, we now own the property and adjacent to the historic school house!

- Highlighted donors thus far include the Evans Family, the Twiddy Family, TowneBank, OBXTek, Outer Banks Community Foundation, 100% of the board of the Corolla Education Foundation, SAGA, Mancuso, Distinctive, multiple family foundations and a generous foundation level pledge of a quarter of a million dollars

We are Full - And growing!

AND OUR BUILDING PERMIT HAS ARRIVED!!! (9/29/2023)

With years of having more than 20 local students on our waiting list, it is time to grow! We have acquired the property next door to the Historic Schoolhouse (thanks Twiddy Family!). Ground breaking will begin in October for a second academic building! See our story and draft renderings!

Local individuals, leaders, businesses, and over 100 community partners have donated land, money for wonderfully successful matching fund drives, goods for weekly raffles, time for open houses, and baked goods for fundraisers! And we are VERY CLOSE TO OUR GOAL! Only about $150,000 to go!

Can you help us reach that goal?

That’s a lot of students for a public school that started with 15!

We love online donations - but if you prefer to mail us a check, that's great too: Water's Edge Village School, PO Box 215 Corolla, NC 27927
